ABOUT

There is no quick fix for climate change. Response requires we adopt new practices and a culture that includes long-term thinking to live responsibly and sustainably on our planet. If we look to our history, two conditions highlight our capacity to meet major challenges; broad cooperation among citizens and the diversity that has been at the heart of American creativity.

America’s golden age of invention, its 20th century moonshot, its development of the internet with its world of new services, and 21st century rapid creation of vaccines in response to a global pandemic should strengthen our confidence in science and infuse our society with a belief in our capacity to innovate.

The IMAGINE FORWARD CAMPAIGN will include in its media ecosystem a showcase of leaders and innovations across all sectors, a digital system of solutions, “how-to” facilitator training for community leaders to guide adoption of innovations, and authentic knowledge and arts resources to engage citizens in re-design of their communities for health, economic vitality, and climate resilience.

The campaign will also include leadership education for the transition to a regenerative and sustainable future for our young generations: Millennials and Gen Z. They are the generations at the cusp of change and will be essential contributors to advancing and sustaining the transition over the critical decades ahead.

The Imagine Forward Campaign will launch with a national media event in 2025. In keeping with its focus on young leadership, as a prelude to introduction of the 50 State Campaign we will introduce the Civic Imagination Challenge in 2024.
