Organizing a Brainstorming Event
- Select a comfortable meeting space
- Invite between 6 and 12 people
- Focus on one topic
- Include information on the selected topic in your email invitation
- Have resources on hand such as: post-it notes, colored dots, index cards, markers, pencils, pens, magazines, scissors, and if possible, a white board
- Recommend participants review Guidelines for Team Members prior to the event
- Chose a Facilitator who can explain the rules and encourage all to participate
- Choose a Notetaker who can also watch the clock to keep all stages on track
- Plan and order refreshments
- Follow-up with a summary email
